Vallegre Old Vines Reserva Especial, Spain

From £25.29

Tasting Notes

Made from vines over 80 years old. Ruby colour with very good intensity. Very elegant, vigorous with a fantastic complexity. Black mature fruits, very spicy with hints of toasted and soaked oak cask. Wide and persistent tannins with a sweet, fruity sensation and hints of black chocolate

Additional Info

After a careful and classic vinification, the wine spent 22 months in new French oak casks. It is unfiltered and was not cold stabilised in order to preserve all its natural qualities. It will therefore with time throw natural sediment in the bottle. We recommend decantation of this weighty 1.5kg bottle. Eat with red meat, particularly game and strong cheeses.

Food Matching
